Traffic at a glance
A radar-style traffic view designed to help the pilot in command (PIC) to interpret relative position and surrounding traffic without clutter.

!!A dedicated aviation traffic display designed to make compatible Stratux* traffic data easier to see, understand and hear — with a clear interface built around the pilot.
An independent development project. Designed as an advisory aid — never a replacement for lookout, approved avionics or ATC instructions.
SkyeScope brings key traffic information into a dedicated display, with configurable visual and audio behaviour and a deliberate focus on usability.
A radar-style traffic view designed to help the pilot in command (PIC) to interpret relative position and surrounding traffic without clutter.
Configurable sound options for proximity, traffic advisories and warnings, with spoken relative-position announcements.
Visual emphasis and target information are designed to make relevant traffic easier to distinguish.
A dedicated landscape 7-inch color display, consistent layout and touch-driven controls for a more focused experience.
Connects to a compatible Stratux system and uses the data that system makes available. SkyeScope is independently developed.
Preferences for units, sound and ownship information help tailor the display to the pilot's setup.
SkyeScope is designed to connect to a compatible Stratux system and present the data it supplies on a dedicated display. It is a companion interface, not a replacement for the underlying traffic receiver.
A closer look at the enclosure, from the landscape display and top-mounted control to the carefully considered side and rear details.

The large landscape display sits at the centre of the cockpit-focused design.

An angled look at the enclosure, including the rear panel, ventilation, RAM Mount and control layout.

The display and side connections remain accessible within the compact enclosure.
SkyeScope is being developed iteratively, with attention to interface details, hardware integration, recovery behaviour and a clear separation between useful awareness and certified aviation equipment.
Develop the display, traffic rendering, controls and audio features on the target embedded platform.
Connect the display to compatible Stratux data and validate the experience across normal and failure conditions.
Improve readability, configuration and interaction through real-hardware testing and incremental changes.
SkyeScope is intended to supplement — never replace — established aviation practices.
SkyeScope is an independent, experimental advisory display. It is not certified avionics and is not approved as the sole means of traffic detection, navigation or collision avoidance. Traffic data may be missing, delayed, inaccurate or unavailable, and alerts may not occur. Maintain an effective visual lookout, follow ATC instructions and applicable procedures, and rely on approved equipment and your own judgement. Never interact with the display in a way that distracts from safe aircraft operation.
SkyeScope is not commercially affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially supported by the Stratux project or its maintainers. It connects to a compatible Stratux system and uses the data that system supplies; it does not independently verify that data.
A quick introduction to what SkyeScope is — and what it isn't.
No. SkyeScope is an independent project. It connects to a compatible Stratux system and uses the data provided by that system. SkyeScope is not commercially affiliated with or officially endorsed by Stratux.
No. SkyeScope is an advisory traffic display only. It must not replace visual lookout, ATC instructions, approved avionics, flight planning or pilot judgement.
No. SkyeScope depends on data made available by the connected system. Traffic may not be detected or reported by Stratux, and data can be delayed, incomplete or unavailable.
This website is currently an informational concept for the project. Availability, distribution terms and support arrangements have not yet been decided or announced.
No. This is a static demonstration website. The radar graphics and example values are illustrative and are not connected to a live receiver or aircraft.
SkyeScope is an independent project in active development. There is still work to do, and we'd love to hear from pilots, Stratux users, aviation technology enthusiasts and potential testers.

SkyeScope is an independent passion project, developed to bring accessible, capable and thoughtfully designed aviation traffic awareness to the enthusiast community.
From circuit boards and electronic components to software development and prototype enclosures, every stage involves time, experimentation and a little ingenuity.
If you enjoy following SkyeScope's development and would like to help with the next stage, you can buy me a coffee. Every contribution, however small, is greatly appreciated and helps support continued development.
No obligation. Just a little help from fellow aviation enthusiasts. Thank you for being part of the journey.
Every contribution helps fund development and prototyping.
